Jesus knows what the ordinary person worries about. He lived in poverty most of his life and had the same worries and concerns we do today. It is from deep experience he teaches us about worry. The most important message we can receive from Christ is that our worldly worries distract us from the comfort of the Gospel. The whole message of the Bible teaches us to be concerned for one another. Jesus is the cure for worry. Our life as Christians is the cure for worry. If we love Christ and care for one another as Christ cared for people we will not worry about the inconsequential things in life.
Matthew 6, Luke 12, Isaiah 6, Mark 4, Luke 10
